It will register distance, pace, and elevations of any journey…EVEN if on a plane. I kept an eye on our airspeed and elevation on SF trip. the pictures are great. I cannot speak to the cost, it seems every trip costs exceed expectations there; but the memories are priceless and since you are “sharing” your journey the benefits surpass MY expectations of your trip.
